Currently re-watching “Addams Family Values” (1993) as I type. This is really one of the greatest comedies of the 1990s. Though the movie features such a spectacular cast (like Anjelica Houston, Christopher Lloyd, Raul Julia, Christina Ricci etc.), the true star of the film is comedian Joan Cusak. I miss her late 80s-90s run, because she was always the stick out of every film she was in, no matter how small. This woman needs to resurrect back to her comedic roots because she’s really, really good at it. She’s one of the few character ACTRESSES who really broke out with Oscar, and I really believe with the right role she could win one day. Of course, her role as Debbie Jellinsky in the 1993 comedy, is by far he best work. Gah, this is one rainy night wish: Joan, get back to work ASAP!
